Dapo Sanwo is a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Lead with over Twelve years of experience leading supply chain projects worth $16million.
Dapo graduated from Convenant University, Ota, Ogun State in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (B.Sc) and I have a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Development Finance from the University of Lagos. Professionally, I am an Associate Member of the following Institutes, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (Ghana) and Chartered Institute of Warehousing and Materials Management.
I started my work career with ADDAX Petroleum Development Ltd in 2009 as a Youth Corper. I was a Direct Charge Buyer, during this period I was exposed to the rudiments and practical knowledge of Supply Chain Management in the Oil and Gas Industry. I later joined Gadgas Ltd (A major oil and Gas Servicing Company) in January 2011 as a Procurement Specialist. Whilst with Gadgas, I was in-charge of sourcing quotations for direct charge materials, reviewing purchase requisition, identifying vendors, and negotiating prices, freight costs, discounts, and payment policies. Dapo joined the Institute of Chartered Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM) in 2012 where I worked for almost six years (March 2012 – December 2017). I was the Pioneer staff of the Procurement Department of the Institute so I had the privilege to set up the department. I prepared the Standard Operating Procurement Manual for the Institute. The manual contained the strategies, procurement process, and procedures, etc. The document is still in use to date. I left CIPM in December 2017.
